I am at the beginning of finding this out...
1. My experience has been exceptional
2. When you write a book (or a large body of work) you find out who you are and you show the world who you are, and that means that over many years your people find you. It is a multiple-decade project but it’s good
Everyone has some shit to say about how they're going to write a book, and they never will because only you are emotionally naked enough to give yourself over to the years of pointlessness, spiraling, and incredibly difficult work that will almost certainly lead to absolutely nothing! Live más.

After 7 years of writing, I've just sent out two queries to agents for my 50k-word coming-of-age literary novel. It was such a scary, exhilarating moment! As soon as I hit send on the first I realised I'd missed off page numbers on my first 3 chapters doc. That won't matter much tho. Right?

After 7 years of writing (and not writing) my coming-of/age autofiction novel, I’m finally reading to start querying agents in the UK. Any writers, agents or other publishing peeps got any words of advice for me? (Aside from prepare for lots of rejection - I read that one a lot!)

New year, new social media attempt. 🙃 I'm a writer figuring out how to tell the truth by writing fiction. I have an autofiction book to show for it. I don't like other social media platforms but am on Substack (lettersfromkabs.substack.com). If you write, let's connect. 🫶

1/ Your copy isn't converting because...

You're leading with facts when you should be leading with values.

Start with what matters to your audience. 👇

It's harder than ever to get traction on #SocialMedia. Here's what nobody tells you.👇

Those content creators getting tons of engagement aren't working alone. They're part of a clique who support each other's content.

Want in? Build genuine connections with others. Share. Comment. Create value.

Your #brand story isn't about your org.

It's about your audience's hopes, fears and dreams. They're the hero. You're just the guide helping them get where they want to go.

When you position your audience as the hero, magic happens:

👉 Deeper connections
👉 Stronger engagement
👉 Real impact

I'm too young 🔁 I'm too old
I'm too quiet 🔁 I talk too much
I'm too common 🔁 I'm too posh
I'm too much 🔁 I'm not enough
I'm too detail-orientated 🔁 I'm too big-picture thinking
I'm not experienced enough 🔁 I'm too set in my ways
I change jobs too often 🔁 I've been at one place too long

Just do it.

Well, I'm on Bluesky. How does this work? What are the rules?

Either way, I'm excited. After 12 years with that other one, I'm done. I'm here and I'm glad to be in a better place. 😊
