Nap time!
Hemi the black and white cat on the dining room carpet caught mid yawn with his mouth open, his eyes closed, and his ears back. He stayed up and randomly attacked the packing paper and played in his boxes all night. He’s worn out from working so hard.

Hemi the black and white cat buried under lots of packing paper. He’s got too much energy for the day after Thanksgiving. I’m hoping he will burn enough of it to settle down for some cuddles.

Hemi the black and white cat lying on one side next to his box of gifts. He’s got airplane ears and a truly scary glare aimed at me. He’s grabbing the box with his paws and trying to get enough grip and leverage at the same time to unfold the box top. I’ve told him he can have them early if he can open the box himself. Hemi’s glare notwithstanding, I’m very thankful for my little guy! Happy Thanksgiving to you all and give your own little ones a hug.

Mom’s torturing me! My Christmas gifts are hidden in this box.🙀
Hemi the black and white cat is blatantly sticking his paws in the box containing his Christmas gifts and trying to pry up the flaps. He’s given up trying to be good until Santa leaves them out Christmas morning.

Mom says if I end up on the naughty list I won’t get anything for Christmas. This is the only way I can make that happen.
Hemi the black and white cat already napping. I told him that running over me or standing on me in bed would be considered as naughty behavior and Santa won’t leave him anything for Christmas. He’s either napping to be considered “good” or he’s tired from his nightly shenanigans and resting up for tonight’s “bad” behavior.

Mom was up too early this morning. She caught me sticking my head in the box that has Christmas presents in it. I lost interest when she said mine were hidden elsewhere.
Hemi the black and white cat snooping to see what everyone is getting for Christmas. Notice the complete lack of guilt or concern that he’s been caught in the act. I swear he understands what I say because he lost interest when I told him his weren’t inside. His are stashed in a cabinet with a childproof lock on it. He cannot be trusted.

Another day, another box!
Hemi the black and white cat watching me from inside one of the many boxes scattered across the room. He spent most of last night up and playing with them and the packing paper. He didn’t like that I moved some of them this morning but I had to so I could get to the kitchen to feed him breakfast.

I’ve got a good grip on it now!
Hemi the black and white cat lying on his belly with half of his body on the green toy cover and half on the carpet. He’s got a good grip on the ball hiding in the cover with both of his big paws. His head is down and he’s trying to bite the ball but it’s too big for him to get in his mouth. I’m grateful that it’s too big or I’d be another mom taking her kid to the doctor when he got his toy stuck in a place it should never have been in.

Carrying another bit of rope from my tree. Of course I’m dropping it in my water. How did you guess?
Hemi the black and white cat who carried his rope to me for “show and tell” is now walking straight to his water bowl. His intent is clear and he won’t be stopped by anything that I can do. He will now drop it in, wait until it’s saturated completely, and then pull it out and shake the water everywhere. I’m getting used to it.

Hemi the black and white cat stretches out and tries to convince me that he had nothing to do with the loud noises in the bedroom. Those noises turned out to be one of my running shoes standing up on its heel and wedged into the corner. He’s continuing to proclaim himself innocent of all charges.

I won against the ball! I pulled it out of the green cover and it’s lying there dead.
Okay, it really just needs recharging. But I still killed it!

He’s strutting around very proud of himself for removing the ball from the cover. I hate to break the news to him but later I’m plugging in the ball for a charge and stuffing it back into the cover for him to kill again. Just call him Sisyphus.
