Absolute scenes in Edinburgh CEC where the Lib Dems voted in favour of the Labour super-minority administration but none of them made a speech as to why.

(Their leader made one about why the decision couldn’t wait, but that was it.)

SNP and Greens to vie for joint leadership of the council in new coalition
Edinburgh’s SNP and Green council groups are combining forces in a bid to take over the leadership of Edinburgh's council administration. They are making a move on Thursday to take control of the council which they say will bring "ambition, vision and stability" to the capital. They say that Edinburgh’s current ruling Labour group has been rocked by sexual harassment and fraud allegations against its outgoing leader, Cammy Day, following two and a half years of "weak, rudderless and incompetent" administration.

I'm seeing lots of horror stories from Americans about their hassles with health insurance bills. Here in Scotland in 2020 I had a massive stroke, I was in hospital for many weeks & required intensive rehab for months after. Our sole out of pocket expense was snacks for my husband's stress eating.

Calls for council leader to resign
Following allegations about the Council Leader in Edinburgh which emerged on Saturday, other political groups on the council are tonight calling for his resignation. It is alleged that there were complaints made about “inappropriate behaviour” by Cllr Cammy Day through the council’s Safecall whistleblower helpline by members of council staff last winter. These were reported to Police Scotland and it is understood that there was insufficient evidence to begin an investigation, according to The Times.
