I hate LinkedIn. Since I started my new job in September I've had more traffic on my page than the whole rest of my LinkedIn time. But like. Corporate, superficial-ness is so toxic and people basically begging for business with DMs is so transparent I'm 90% certain I should delete the whole thing!

I took 1300 photos of whales and Orca on my SLR. In the Azores I was just happy to get a shot but in Norway we had so much more time with the animals and it was just us. Meant I got to go all arty with my photos.

I used to be a data analyst for Supply Chain before I became a SC Manager. In my last job I worked with a data god and compared to him, my data stuff looked shit. Now I'm at a new company trying to explain data theory to my staff and actually I am amazing at this shit, I just got lazy.

Packing for the Arctic is hard because so many layers are required. Usually I just need a backpack and my camera. Currently I'm wrestling with a fat cabin bag that needs to fit my tripod but weigh less than 8kg! Love my new jacket though!

I have quite enjoyed Jules Verne's Journey to the Centre of the Earth, especially it's clear influence on Arthur Conan Doyle's the Lost World. But also - science from 160 years ago is SO stupid.

It's my LAST day of unemployment. Starting a new place tomorrow after almost 2 months off (one that aligns with my values too!). I actually can't wait, but also I'm nervous. Capitalism is evil but also you don't realise how much of your job is your personality till you don't have it anymore.

T minus 40 mins till my second interview and I just talked to my recruiter. The person I'm going to be talking to got the job 2 months ago via my recruiter. So I guess it's going to be more of a chat than an interview? That's good because I have no idea what questions to ask this time!

I read a post that said if you're just blindly applying to jobs on job boards and not putting yourself out there, you aren't job hunting you're job hoping. It was the kick up the ass I needed.

Imagine being so unadventurous that you decide music and sex might be worth trying. After marriage! And imagine being so fragile in your sexuality that the Countdown theme is an instant turn off, instead of a joke to enjoy with your partner before continuing the sex!
I suggested music during sex. Husband agreed. I put my old iPod on shuffle and we got some good music. We were just about to start the main event when the Countdown theme came up. It really soured the atmosphere. No more nookie music for us.

New improved and achievement oriented CV must be pretty good because ever since I changed it I've had at least one recruiter call me per day. I just wish most London based Supply Chain roles were more Central and not in fucking Uxbridge!
