Guitar player. Chef. Deer stalker, but not necessarily in that order. Husband, Dad, Grandpa. Tired and a little achey tbh.
Actually: grain mustard smashed new potatoes, jus from the Ciaranne, sprouts, broccoli and carrots🤘

There’s something deeply unsavoury about the descendants of relatively recent immigrants in power, punching down on current, helpless immigrants. Zia Yusuf/Shabana Mahmood: couldn’t get a rizla between em right now…Reform/Labour, let that sink in

I went to an exhibition today by the Australian artist Sammy Hawker. It was staggeringly moving.
I came away utterly baffled by the thought the Sammy Hawker and Donald Trump are essentially the same species and can exist at the same time. Complete mind fuck.

"The PM accused Reform UK of overseeing racist & divisive politics “that frankly I thought we had dealt with decades ago”

Quite. Amplified by X - which the Govt unfortunately remains addicted to.

There's going to be so many tedious UK takes on yesterday's US Election...

So here are my tedious takes:

1. Messengers matter as much as messages
2. There's no inevitable victory for right populism

That's about it.

It was grand. The vino was a tad lacking in body, kinda thin, but overall it was a lovely meal

Apart from cocking up Covid,
Implementing Brexit,
Partying whilst people died,
Cutting local Govt funding by 40%,
Running down public services
And increasing levels of poverty.
We Conservatives were NEVER business bashing, job destroying or law breaking!

It’s our 30th anniversary tomorrow. Still think she’s as hot as then and we laugh a great deal. Never had a row that lasted more than about 3 minutes and they usually end up with a cheerful “well fuck you then” and a fit of the giggles. I consider myself to be very, very lucky indeed

Today, I made venison & chilli sausages. I also took the strings off my Les Paul Gold Top, polished the frets, treated the finger board, tweaked the intonation and restrung it, it plays beautifully again. Nice

Tomorrow we’re off to Cardiff to see the Welsh band Cardinal Black. The guitarist Chrissy Buck is a great fav. They’ve been touring the world for about a year and are finishing at home. Should be an absolute banger. Need a venue for the England/Aus match…😬
