I think Jurassic World went way off base with the hybrids. They should have stuck to actual dinosaurs but thrown in other traits from the animal world, like the venomous dilophosaurus the chameleon carnosaurus (The Lost World novel).
These hybrids are almost all teeth and claws anyway.
