I'd say in that order from longest to shortest: A, D (at the time of DAI), E, C, D (at the time of DATV, after disbanding the Inquisition she needed a change, so as a sign of starting a different life period she cut her hair really short)

with Inquisition's actions and values for long. She was aware of the consequences and understood how much it would hurt Iron Bull to become Tal-Vashoth and she felt guilty about upending his life for a while, but in the end, he didn't regret it and so she had no choice but to forgive herself. (2/2)

As much as she loves the Chargers, in her role as Inquisitor Ishtar absolutely would have sacrificed them in a different situation, but the Qunari were not the type of alliance that was worth it. She knew that this alliance would only go so far, that the demand of the Qun would not align (1/2)
Hello everyone! It's time for today's #IQotD

What did your Inquisitor choose to do during Iron Bull’s quest?

I think Ishtar likes the Storm Coast and the Hissing Wastes the most. Both have an endless something that stretches into the horizon and gives Ishtar a sense of calm. Also, the Storm Coast is significant because of the Iron Bull.
(I love the Emerald Graves, but Ishtar is not quite a forest person)

DAO - I like the variety of spell schools and the uniqueness of some spells that invited creative use. My fav spell of all time is "force field", it's so versatile and opens some cool tactics if you use it on allies. Imo DAO is the best game in the series to play a mage

11. The romance version of Emmrich's "will and testament" in DATV
12. The past-"all that remains" conversation with Aveline about grief
13. The ending of Citadel DLC
And so much else besides. I love these games, they've helped me stay afloat over the years, start writing and engage with people (5/5)
January 30, 2025 at 3:34 AM
8. The scene with Loghain and Morrigan speaking about Kieran in DAI: "he is an innocent" - "as we all were, once"
9. The scene with Morrigan and Flemeth in DAI: "I am many things, but I will not be the mother you were to me"
10. Every time Urdnot Bakara is on-screen in ME3 (4/5)
January 30, 2025 at 3:34 AM
5. The peaceful resolution of the Quarian-Geth conflict in ME3 and Legion's story throughout ME2 and ME3
6. Oghren's "let's show them our hearts and then show them theirs" at the gates of Denerim which is legitimately my favourite line in the entire game
7. Thane's prayer for Shepard (3/5)
January 30, 2025 at 3:34 AM
1. Garrus' romance specifically in ME3
2. The Iron Bull's "you're my kadan, that's a choice I make every day" in Trespasser
3. The lost elf theme: this music makes me cry every single time, it's so beautiful
4. The vast loneliness of space in ME1, conveyed perfectly imo (2/5)

Everything Mordin Solus, his character arc is one of my most favourite in fiction ever! Morrigan's very dear to me, too, I was roleplaying her in an online DA community for years, thanks to which I met my amazing husband. Other examples of things that touched me deeply in no particular order: (1/5)
Alright friends, tonight's qotd is going to be a little different tonight. Given the recent news, I want to dedicate this one to all the devs who made BioWare great.

So, what moment(s) in ANY BioWare game meant the most to you? Why?

D - I love all her looks and I love that she changes over the years and it feels really harmonious to who she is
January 28, 2025 at 7:23 PM
The kudos are back to normal yay
Not sure what that was about
Somehow one of my ao3 fics now shows 8 kudos less than before
That's so weird
Especially since in the stats screen the correct amount is shown for the fic
Don't think that's ever happened to me before🤔

B - unfortunately, I really dislike DAI combat. DATV took time to learn, but once I did, it was one of the most enjoyable parts of the game for me. Really enjoyed the variety of builds too. My husband and I played the same specialisation, but our builds were very different and that's super cool.

Probably watching the advisors work. Ishtar wanted to do her best to rise to the occasion and for that, she needed to learn new things and she needed to learn fast. She was mostly interested in Leliana's spy work, but Josie and Cullen had Ishtar hang around a lot too, especially in those early days

Yes! Surana wanted him to stay alive and work to make amends, because that is the only price a person can pay for their wrongdoings that actually matters. That's why she ordered him to participate in Morrigan's ritual too. (Tbh I recruit Loghain in 99.9% of my playthroughs, one of my fav characters)

No. That was not something Ishtar ever considered. It was a destiny different from being the Inquisitor. A destiny that felt as much of a burden as being the Inquisitor was and Morrigan chose it for herself and Ishtar respects it when people are determined to take on burdens and usually lets them

Hawke. Ishtar needed Loghain, because she didn't know what the Wardens would do once the Inquisitor's party would emerge from the Fade and needed him to help her reason with them if necessary. The fact that she personally didn't like Hawke very much didn't influence her at all, I'm sure😅

I really want to write about Shunsui and Shinji and their politicking together. I like the idea that they are close. Shunsui really needs a trusted captain by the end of the manga. I actually want to write a fic about them, been a long time coming, but my waiting list of ideas is so long 😮‍💨(4/4)
January 22, 2025 at 6:02 PM
And I might be reading too much into it, but the latest cour of tybw might be setting it up in a way, even if never get to see the story so far into the future. The scene where Shinji talks about what it means to be captain commander in this very grave way - just chef's kiss (3/4)
January 22, 2025 at 6:02 PM
A formerly convicted vizard who spent a lot of time in the world of the living, he would be such a pain in the ass for everyone in power, but he would play the game of politics quite well and be a logical choice to continue Shunsui's reforms. Plus he'd be the most senior captain left. (2/4)
January 22, 2025 at 6:02 PM
Bleach thoughts: i find the past-tybw politics of the soul society super interesting. Like the central 46 would want Byakuya as the next captain commander bc nothing screams status quo more, but it would be much cooler if Shunsui's intrigues put Shinji in that position in the future (1/4)
January 22, 2025 at 6:02 PM
🟪 And even though to unite the three leaders had potential, Ishtar felt their personalities would make long-term cooperation impossible. And since she was always adamant about disbanding the Inquisition once Corypheus is dealt with, she didn't want another civil war to start immediately after (3/3)
January 20, 2025 at 2:19 PM
🟪 While very sympathetic to Briala's cause, Ishtar decided to go for the safe choice. Can't say that was easy for her, but she didn't think Gaspard would be an obedient figurehead. To make amends, Briala's contacts were later discreetly offered resources if they wished to continue her work (2/3)
January 20, 2025 at 2:19 PM
Ishtar supported Gaspard because:
🟪 She felt that by letting the assassination attempt progress that far, Celine had lost the Game and should be left to fail
🟪 She thought installing a new ruler showed the Inquisition as more powerful and independent than saving an existing one (1/3)
