Ok I just had to explain to my 3 and 5yo about the historic and ongoing systematic oppression of Native Americans to convince them to watch the show Spirit Rangers with the original audio recording instead of the British dub. Why the F is there a British dub? Just more colonisation.

Went to a GP (UK NHS) who was very pessimistic about the wait list for imaging for chronic knee pain. I had to ask for it and then insist that they put me on the waiting list because what's another 5mo when it's been ongoing for >6 at this point. I got the letter within a week, MRI within 4 weeks.

One of my kids (3yo), who routinely misgenders everyone, said no to pronouns today. It makes it very difficult to write stories while anonymising someone when that person won't even accept being referred to with "they".
