the absolute hardest thing about believing in,advocating for,and protecting human rights is that those rights are universal. they don’t stop when you don’t like somebody, they apply to every single person or you run the risk of them applying to no one but the elite it’s give an inch they take a mile

just because trump voters fucked themselves over by voting for him doesn’t mean that they deserve what is coming to them. you can hate them all you want and that’s a fair (and deserved) response, they did do it to themselves but that doesn’t make what happened to them okay
