This is a really good post about how to reduce risk of getting COVID (& other airborne infections) while accessing the medical system.
Once you’re at the hospital, you have to try and keep yourself safe from medical trauma & infections

This is a difficult task in the “you do you” era of COVID pandemic. Healthcare facilities have all but given up trying to contain the virus despite hospital acquired COVID having a 10% fatality rate
How to Stay Covid Safe When in Hospital
A guide to navigating the risk of hospital acquired Covid - as well as how to manage overall risk of nosocomial infections and hospital derived complications.

A thread on first aid survival kits for the chronically ill. This is a great resource.
I’m nursing multiple small but annoying injuries - one of the side effects of living with EDS.

I’m housebound - so I can’t just pop to a pharmacy when I require first aid supplies.

I’m immune compromised & trying to avoid the ER at ALL costs.

Adding fluoride to water is considered one of the great public health achievements of the 20th century.

With President-elect Donald Trump in the White House, & RFK Jr leading HHS, the 21st century may be another story. www.statnews.com/2024/11/13/f...
With a push from RFK Jr., baseless fears about fluoride go mainstream
Experts worry RFK could put out misinformation on the effects of fluoride that would harm public health.

If you have complex chronic illness - especially MCAS or EDS - make sure you know about Medi-honey.

It’s been a life saver for me for wounds, infections, burns (I faint a lot when cooking) & even dental issues!

I’m allergic to many topical ointments & this has saved me from antibiotics many times
