I hesitate to even post this on the kind of platform fueling the crisis we're in.

24 years ago this morning, I was in a crowd fleeing the U.S. Capitol under police orders. In the chaos, I found a familiar face - my previous boss, Bernie Sanders. We found our way to a little Greek restaurant where we saw the disaster unfold on TV & knew things wouldn't ever be the same.

So I picked one of the iris seed pods last night and sliced into it. I was surprised to see remnants (?) of the purple flower inside! I wasn’t sure if that gets further absorbed as the pod develops? Didn’t just get lucky to see that bit? Fun stuff! #irisseedpod #remnantflower 🌱

The scent is so lovely! Our native honeysuckle (Coral honeysuckle) looks like this!

Rushed home to play in the dirt before the rain came. Planted eggplant, peppers, cantaloupe, geranium, Giant Cockscomb, and my new grape vine! Created a sunflower patch in front of my fence and put down seed. Potato plants dying means some potatoes are ready...roses showing off! Now a movie...🌱🍇🥔🌹
