I live in a city in Texas within an hour’s drive of downtown Dallas and Fort Worth. I ordered an item online which should be in a large (9x12?) but flat package via USPS. I’ve watched it go from Dallas to Fort Worth to Lubbock to Amarillo and is still in transit to the destination. Scenic route?
