For The New Atlantis, I wrote about satellites and large language models and how it will change the way we look at the Earth https://www.thenewatlantis.com/publications/the-open-sky

What is the “hell rope”

I think it might just be contrarian centrist journalist who all manage to have the same views that draw this ire
everyone needs journalists on their new apps to drive interest to them, but then everyone hates it when we actually show up lmao

Hate is still attention for better or worse
it’s going to be fun to watch people like the Matts slowly realize that they have no algorithm to boost their dumb takes anyway

We are so back
hate to say it but he’s right
the existence of a “dril is a swerf because he supported #blocktheblue” main character is an extremely good sign for this site’s health

Yeah setting up a bot on this website was way easier then doing it on twitter tbh
The AT Protocol docs are outstanding. They use clear language, and diagrams, with easy to parse examples for people who want to understand how things work.

Most of my technical questions have been answered and now I want to start building stuff. https://atproto.com/docs

And @lgbranchbots.bsky.social officially works just fine via chron!

Got the legbranch bot working on bluesky! Need to move it over to render for it to run on cron but otherwise works like a charm @schuman.bsky.social
The LIBRARY OF CONGRESS put out a procurement for Lock and Key Services IDIQ on 2023-04-21.

@jay.bsky.team are bots supported here, or at least programmatic posting? My colleague @schuman.bsky.social suggested that I migrate some of my legislative branch data bots here where the API may be more stable then twitters

I’m currently see this play out in Texas where they banned DJI for agencies and there is quite a bit of complaining
Gotta finish my draft piece about why there’s no adequate replacement for DJI drones - for both a sea of civilian use cases, and for fighters in Ukraine - this weekend.

(I don’t think this is a GOOD thing. But it is true).

Going to be blunt I don’t trust this sort of rhetoric it’s forced and giving cult like language
April 11, 2023 at 11:13 PM
A congressional hackathon is coming up and I have the urge to slip in a few milady esque tech types into it, partly because it would be funny, but also I think it would be a productive cultural exchange for everyone
