Hi #PortfolioDay! I'm Lars and I am an artist and game dev. I have an ongoing webcomic Beast Fables, am working on a graphic novel, and make games with @twigbit.games!

Made my own drawing board for a little under $70 using a piece of birch, a photography "cheese plate", and a tripod. I've been using it for a few days now and it's fantastic: customizable height, comes apart for transport/storing, and customizable.

I'm going to write up a little tutorial soon!

It's a tough choice, but I think if it came down to it Howl's would be my favourite.

If I'm not sure what I want to watch, or just generally want to feel good, I'll regularly cycle through Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa, and The Boy and the Heron.

Heyy, it’s New Year’s Eve!

It’s been a really productive year for me art-wise! Despite getting in a car accident in January, and being stressed out about money ever since, I really stayed on track; good job, me.

Anyways, see you fellers in 2026!

Here’s my favorite joke I wrote/drew this year.
A 2-panel comic about 90’s handheld gaming. A devil sees her girlfriend is playing something she can’t see, it is clearly something handheld though. “Oh! Did you get a Game Boy finally? If you picked up Pokemon, we should have a battle! I have a link cable,” she tells her girlfriend, who remains silent as she continues to play her game. The first devil chuckles, thinking her girlfriend is wary about battling someone who has dozens of hours in Pokemon already, “I promise I’ll go easy on you!” Her girlfriend responds,” Well okay, but I have to warn you, girlie…” “My Ekans is a KILLING MACHINE,” the girlfriend dramatically says. She is playing Snake on her Nokia 3310.

I'm really happy with the result of my 2025 bingo card. I'll be writing up a post with new goals and a reflection of last year sometime today.
A bingo card for 2025 with my goals. The theme is consistency. There are multiple squares that ramp up on the number of a given item, like 5, 10, and 15 books. There are art, cycling, game and blender challenges along with some writing and blogging.

I updated my tutorial to use VSCodium instead of VSCode since Microsoft continues to shove AI features into it (while also making it difficult to disable them).
