RSL keeper Zac MacMath is expected to miss 3-5 months undergoing surgery for a torn lat (shoulder/back muscle) he suffered against Austin FC in September.
Zac MacMath started both playoff games for RSL and performed admirably — especially considering a recent revelation of injury — but it appeared the club identified its own need for help in goal when it drafted two keepers in the MLS SuperDraft in December.

Have had some folks drop into my DMs asking if Mastroeni's safe after RSL's loss. I have no inside info but t'd be brutal to fire the guy after this season:
- set club record for points
- 4th straight playoff appearance
- developed a club-record transfer fee out
- developed Luna (22u22 2nd place)
