Happy 2025, everyone! I think starting with 2020 we have been feasting on mostly shit cocktails as far as the global scene goes. I hope this is the year when things turn for the better. My biggest wish is for Ukraine's victory, and barring that, continued resistance to the terrorist ruzzia.

And that is that for 2024 trading. I haven't done a proper sit down for a big overview of the year, but it definitely feels like one of my more mature years of trading.

It would be too cool of a story for #Lions to win a #SuperBowl, that's why we are not going to get it. But this team is just too much fun. That fake stumble play ... only they can come up and use it in a real game. #nfl

I have been really enjoying working with a simple notebook and a pen next to me during the day. It's been so fun and simple to jot down time, what I am working on and then review it the next day.

I find myself saying stuff like "Are you kidding me? this is the type of features I am implementing?" when writing code with LLM help. Makes me realize how many cool explorations I had left "on the table" in the past unexplored before LLMs came around.

uggggh what is up with all the spam accounts on all social networks. Every network starts out nice and clean and as soon as there is any kind of influx of real users, there come the bots with all the "sexy" profile pics, etc. So annoying

I just took a look at my claude usage logs and it jumped since Sonnet 3.5 new was released. With each previous model release you felt a big improvement but still often ran into cases where I felt like "I wish it did <insert some improvement>". Now for the work I use it for, I rarely feel that.

I am going crazy with my #books reading this year. I usually do 10-14 books per year. What changed this year is the addition of the free roaming sessions in the library where I just browse and pick a book that looks interesting.
