My beef with the Senate Dems is that things were turning around. Trump’s polls were in free fall. That’s not the time to make a bad deal, unless there were other factors we don’t know about. And that kind of shit is rarely good.

If Chuck Schumer was a stronger leader, he would have been able to convince most of these senators to hold the line.

I’m terribly disappointed in him.

This is because Intuit, Inc. gave Donald Trump $1,000,000 for his "inauguration." Intuit owns Turbo Tax, which makes money off charging taxpayers to file their returns.

The corruption is rampant and in plain sight.

Another pardoned January 6 attacker arrested and charged with other, new felonies (in this case, kidnapping and sexual assault).

And don’t miss the part where he got caught firing off a gun on Jan. 6. You may recall the argument that it couldn’t have been an insurrection because it wasn’t armed.
A Trump supporter who fired off a gun during the 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol was arrested last month on kidnapping and sexual assault charges, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office in Illinois.

Don't forget. By the standards from 20 years ago, Dick Cheney was a monster, than he got a heart at age 71. The fact that many see him today as a "normal" politician is just the testament of how low is the moral bar today.

this has to be coupled with the things that *don’t* count as a scandal: an array of harassment allegations, covering up Covid deaths, staying in a race after losing the primary, etc.
i cannot believe that “mamdani calls a close adult relative an ‘aunt’ even if they are not literally their parent’s sister” is what counts as a “scandal” these days

ICE has now sent at least 72 people to prisons in African countries where they have no ties.

Via two ICE flights to Rwanda, two to Eswatini, three to Ghana and one to S. Sudan.

Some had US convictions but had finished their sentences. None have convictions in the places where they're now jailed.
