ICE must leave this world now
What happened in Minneapolis today is an inexcusable tragedy. My heart is with the victim's family and loved ones.

One thing is clear: ICE is out of control. We have to listen to local leaders warning that ICE is putting communities in danger.

ICE must leave Minneapolis now.

I will never not call you out if I hear you talking shit about people boarding early who you think somehow don’t “deserve” to.
but you can't say it enough -- because out in the world, you often see people cop an attitude if they see somebody boarding early at the airport who doesn't "look different." or parking in a disabled spot and then walking out of their car...2/3

I roast a cabbage like once a week in winter! Love it tossed with toasted walnuts and lemon. And one of the best dishes we had on our recent UK trip was roast cabbage with some kind of miso magic at Another Hand in Manchester. Gimme that cabbage!!!

I refuse to believe politicians are forgetting how rancid MTG is. Sure we can have a big tent but we do not need to welcome someone like her. Please everyone get a fucking hold of yourselves.

I know we clown strongly worded statements but every medical professional in the US needs to issue one by tomorrow morning saying "we're not following the bullshit guidance of a lifelong antivax activist & his senile boss"

Yup
It’s interesting to see a writer list “the worst things” a man has done, and it’s truly a list of horrors, and then blithely say that still, we must get along. You can only do that when you aren’t in anyone’s political crosshairs. Must be nice.

Appalling
Firing a Black woman for quoting Kirk’s horrific statements about Black women is insane. It seems the Washington Post would rather perform politeness (and demand that the people Kirk harmed do it too) that tell the truth: karenattiah.substack.com/p/the-washin...

Yes!! It always bugged me (especially when I felt like *I* should say it) and this explains exactly why!!
"Are you surprised" and similar responses shift the focus from "how do we react to this horrible thing?" to "who is the cool one here." It's an accusation of naïveté.It opts out from engagement and shifts the focus from the well-being of the world to one's own status enhancement.
