It's funny because gamers™ who think one game should provide them with 1000s of hours of entertainment for like $60 will tear apart *anything* that gets repetitive or incoherent, which slop is very good at

If your primary purpose in buying games seems to be "I want to play for millions of hours without ever getting bored", while often literally harassing the creatives behind creating games, no wonder some suit thinks you'll be satisfied with infinite slop. You've shown them what matters to you!
This whole "I need to be entertained forever for a flat $60 fee and if I eventually get bored that means I've been conned" attitude is what's leading major corps to think people want an infinite drip of AI slop, btw.
