Q: #Selfhosting: Given my environment: MacOS (M4-mini), #Podman-Desktop, and #Tailscale. I'm trying to allow access to my selfhosted containerized resources, and have the ability to manage them thru Tailscale network, (so I can skip a lot of the complexities of securing them otherwise). 🧵

Goodbye & Good Riddance; I've been working through cancelling subscriptions, and getting alternatives set up. I have already found a few that I had forgotten about, still searching... I've been on budget autopilot for far too long.

#booksky recommend: Is there a good scifi, *punk book/series that revolves around bicycles, in a bit more then a passing way?

Mushroom hunting. I’m not particularly good at IDing mushrooms. I basically know Chanterelles, Morels, and Lions Mane. I should try to ID and memorize at least one new type every time I go out as a personal goal.

What kind of print did I find? The lack of nail imprints makes me think a feline of some sort…

We re-homed this guy, Rowdy, back in April, on my birthday. He has come a long way, although still reactive, and a bit of a pill at times. The couple who we re-homed him from said he wasn’t a lap dog…

Just doing Jeep stuff.

I’ve got about a dozen nights in the new AluCab MOD Camper. It’s working out really well. I’m starting to curate some ideas on how to build the inside out for my needs.

It was another bike across the USA kind of summer, this time north to south on the GDMBR border to border, with my partner, and our dog Rowdy.

When I was younger, I definitely thought for a hot moment that the “Oxford Comma” implied that there were other commas and grammar rules named by their universities.

Data nerds that are dog parents: What are you using as an activity tracker? Fi, Whistle? - I’d prefer to not have another subscription, and I don’t need active tracking, I just want to see how much play/work they are doing in the days adventure.

It’s Fursday! …as my SO likes to say. We got this little rescue last Friday. Rowdy is a 1 year old Toy Aussie. It’s been quite the adventure figuring each other out, but it’s going well.

More Moto 🏍️ progress! Got some more gravel, rocks, roots, sand, and a bit of hill climbing practice in. I have definitely caught the bug.

I have also noticed that I have a similar feel/anxiety of riding on the roads, vs off the be... https://l3db3tt3r.micro.blog/2024/03/21/more-moto-progress.html

I’m curious if there are any thru-hikers or other adventurers that have/are used/ing the micro.blog platform as a sort of trail journal. (As I have the inclination to do myself for my future adventures.)

🚵‍♂️ First time fat biking in the snow. The climb is was worth the squeeze (and so was the rental). I have done this ride when the road is cleared on several occasions, this was a very different experience. I don’t think I’m ready to N+1 a fat bike to my quiver — yet.

🏍️ First ride of the year! It got a bit squirrelly, I was pushing my skill level (Im very new to this) and gained some confidence.

What are your favorite bike related community hubs on the internet?

I recently (re)found crazyguyonabike.com
And I generally follow bikepacking.com and theradavist.com

There’s also a local/IRL community revolving around dirtyfreehub.org, but those interactions are a bit here&there, hit&miss.

#bikepacking Does anyone know of anyone making custom frame/triangle bags made from Challenge Ultra X-200/400?

I’ve got MLD bags, handlebar harness, and panniers OTW.
