2025 was nothing if not eventful. I started the year as a resident of New Orleans and ended it as a resident of Old Jefferson. Peyton got her Master’s Degree. Jackson graduates in May. Played a ton of shows. Saw a LOT of movies. Grateful for all of it. Happy New Year!🎆

For the final event of my birthday evening we have a new-ish tradition of watching a movie of the birthday person’s choosing. This year I picked Parasite, as neither Peyton or Jackson have seen it yet. They are in for a WILD ride.

Another successful drop-off in the books! For Peyton, it’s bittersweet as this was her last ever break before getting her Master’s Degree in a few weeks and entering the dreaded “real world” (cue Matchbox 20) and Jackson finishes his Bachelor’s in May. Tempus fugit!

Little Buddy likes to walk around the edge of the tub when I take a bath and he just now lost his footing and KERPLUNKED into the tub and I almost got cut to ribbons trying to get him out. He won’t let me come near him with a towel, so he’s dragging water all over the house. Cats.🙄

The Queens Of The Stone Age show last night was incredible and utterly unique. I’ve not seen anything quite like it from a production standpoint. Coolest of all was the city-specific poster for the event. Just a great night all around, made even more special by getting to experience it with my son.

Here we have a photo from the beginning of my daughter’s journey at Northwestern State University. Next month will be the end of that journey. Just found out she not only passed her COMPs, she got the highest score in the class! I couldn’t be more proud. Master’s Degree awaits! Congrats, Peyton!
