Them: “I’m sick of subsidizing their groceries when mine cost so much”

SNAP does not drive up grocery prices.

That would be inflation, tariffs & corporate greed.

For every $1 spent on SNAP there’s a $1.50 going back into the economy.

While you’re blaming the poor, the rich are robbing everyone.

NEW: Both Pro-Life Wisconsin and Planned Parenthood have registered in support of a bill to expand Medicaid coverage for new low-income moms.

Despite the bipartisan unity, Assembly Speaker Robin Vos says, “We already have enough welfare in Wisconsin.”
He Vowed to “Protect the Unborn.” Now He’s Blocking a Bill to Expand Medicaid for Wisconsin’s New Moms.
Splitting with anti-abortion members of his own party, Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos has refused to join 48 other states in ensuring that vulnerable women have access to potentially lifesaving care for up to a year after giving birth.

Remember how Trump said ICE targets “violent criminals?”

Trump’s own DOJ now reports that ONLY 2.5% of the people ICE arrested in Chicago have any criminal history.

That means 97.5% have ZERO criminal record. They were targeted because they were of Latino ethnicity. This is what fascism looks like

53% of Americans believe billionaires are a threat to American democracy.

Meanwhile, just 100 billionaire families spent $2.6 billion on federal elections last year — a 160-fold increase since Citizens United.

The people know: billionaires should not be able to buy our elections.

Corporate profits have surged over 35% since Trump announced his tariffs, with companies continuing to hike prices on consumers.

Meanwhile, layoffs have exploded to over 1.1M this year — the highest level since the pandemic.

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

This is probably the most depressing thing I’ve read today and I think it’s a sentiment shared by a lot of fans. It sucks that FIFA has decided to make the games so inaccessible to normal people.
Man I remember being so excited when the US was picked as a host country and Seattle seemed likely to get games. Now it's clear there was no point in that excitement. These games were never going to be for me.

I think a number of press outlets badly want there to be a groundswell of anti-trans feeling, because the ownership/senior editorial of those papers have absolutely cooked their own brains on transphobia. It seems to be largely an elite psychosis!
the harris campaign said the “they/them” ad didn’t sway the election.

one of the trump campaign’s top strategists this week said trans rights isn’t in the top five issues for swing voters.

when will the press stop talking about us like we’re a liability and start looking itself in the mirror
