I have a newsletter on Substack called CENTURY SONGS, all about random songs I love from 2000-present. Midwest goof off. Basketball, baseball, rock & roll. He/him. https://centurysongs.substack.com
Texas must not be listening to MJ Lenderman because there have been no Manning Fireworks

To be fair, Saudis have gone to great lengths to get their hands on our jets before
Trump: "We're honoring Saudi Arabia. They want to buy a lot of jets, we make the best jets and missiles, you saw that when we took out the nuclear capability of Iran. Iran wants to negotiate a deal too. Everybody wants to negotiate with us now."

I admire Roald Dahl for being like “Now, what should I name the kid who really likes TV? Hmm…eh, screw it, he’s Mike Teavee.”

I would like to add the return of Fear Factor to this list of recession indicators. (All due respect to Johnny Knoxville.)
Y'know how Cash4Gold and payday loan places are recession indicators in the real world? Getting the same sense from every commercial being for sports betting and AI. Scammy things that are bad for you but are reflections of our broken and shrinking economy. Snake oil salesmen preying on desperation.

While I am on the subject of requesting things from the universe, I would also like to formally request Radiohead to get on Nugs or something so I can watch HD video of these Europe shows. (While also being eternally grateful for the people who are providing their own.)

With the NBA betting scandals making headlines and legalized sports gambling taking over our lives and our feeds, I would personally love another season of David Hill's GAMBLERS podcast. I would absolutely love his insights right now.

Impressive of the refs to not only miss an out of bounds call, but to also miss a *kicked ball*. I guess LA gonna LA.

Spurs gotta watch the foul trouble, but at the same time I love watching Wemby just bulldoze a dude going to the rim. Fuck it, we ball.

Better that Mr. Lockhorn gets out his violent impulses at the office instead of at home, honestly

Was asked to make up a joke on the spot tonight and I said "Why did the farmer put glue on the duck? Because he was quacked!" And my 8yo said it "didn't make sense" and I am feeling persecuted in my own home.

If you only watch one movie about a scientist who detects spirits and then builds a device to capture and hold them indefinitely with metaphysical implications that ends in an explosion... well, I'd probably watch Ghostbusters. But if you watch two movies like that... tubitv.com/movies/10002...
The Asphyx (1972)
A Victorian aristocrat's morbid fascination with photographing the dead drives him to sinister ends as he seeks evidence of an elusive entity.
