11880 KBS World. The Spanish program formerly from Greenville tonight. Very good signal here in Florida. Since reliable reporting has Greenville out of commission where is this from? One of the stations that broker shortwave - like WWCR, WRMI? Baffling! Thanks tip from John Jurasek.

11880 KBS World. The Spanish program formerly from Greenville tonight. Very good signal here in Florida. Since reliable reporting has Greenville out of commission where is this from? One of the stations that broker shortwave - like WWCR, WRMI? Baffling! Thanks tip from John Jurasek.
Vatican Radio was heard on 7305 tonight, 0100 with Portuguese, 0130 with Spanish. Signal strength improved going into the Spanish segment, so that means a beam switch is likely. I'll bet direct from CVA - Vatican City. Thanks Jose Xavier, Brazil for initial tip.

7405 NETHERLANDS R Piepzender, Zwolle. 2/2 Great ID at 0025: "Radio Piepzender from the Netherlands with music for everyone" on UTwente SDR. I rechecked them here at 0145 doing a bit better than earlier with 2 quick IDs around a song, then another deep fade. 23 February 2025

9940 PHILIPPINES Radio Free Asia via Tinang. 2300 sign on with English ID, into Tibetan program with news by woman. Spoken word program. Heard here until 2345 fade out, heard the rest on SDR in Thailand. Sign off 2359. Signal here in Florida is fair at best. This replaces 9490. Feb 14 / 16

Getting close. Voltages check out healthy, reception and sound quality is good, controls are cleaned and operating properly. All that remains is to hook it up to my scope and verify alignment, then it goes back in its cabinet.

I just acquired a new-in-box Grundig AN200 passive loop antenna. If it looks familiar, it's just a rebranded Tecsun AN200. Copyright data on the box indicates it was produced by Eton, who has also produced radios with the Grundig name.

6055 JAPAN Radio Nikkei 1, 1230-1250+ heard well here at a fair level this morning. Strong for a non-Chinese powerhouse. 6100 CRI Russian had a very good signal at the same time.
