Another toddler (should have been baby) quilt and pillowcase done! Now both have been mailed.
And, 🤔, I made a 🌈 quilt. Does that make me a groomer 🙄?

🎼 🎵 You may say I'm a groomer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us

I made my 1st quilted #adventcalendar for my Irish friends! They were away until 12/15, so had to open days 1-15 last night. numbers aren’t on the quilt yet.
Quilted and backed w sheer fabric so that it looks like stained glass when backlit.
Still needs a little more work.

I’m finally finishing 4 very late baby (now toddler) quilts.
Here’s the first one. There is a pocket that holds letters so that she can spell names of people in her family, and her own name. (And a bag to wash the letters in)

If you have a cat (and extra money because the kids are grown), the only thing you need to get for said cat is some wall or floor furniture from www.maupets.com

Me: That's good. It's important to learn history so you don't repeat it.

A mourning dove flew hard into my dining room window. Unfortunately, it gave its life for my window, but not before leaving an impressive outline of itself. You can see individual feather impressions in the 2nd picture.
This happens relatively often (I just ordered decals to thwart the birds).

I made a spool chest nto a side table.
The “DEXTER” drawer is on the top. A charging port (2 USBC, 2 USBA, 2 regular plugs) is in the bottom drawer.
I reinforced the bottom to install the hairpin legs and make a cord channel. Forstner bit came in handy!

Today was the first time I saw a product price online that added in a tariff surcharge AND told me that it was added. I’m not buying this particular product (too $$$), but I will buy from the company. Good for them for letting us know the tariff surcharge.

Scroll through. Especially to the image @geoffbowser.bsky.social made of the DOL posts since Labor Day. JFC! Not the America I see everyday.
A TPM Reader told me to look at the Department of Labor page on Facebook for something called Project Firewall. It's basically their name for cracking down on highly skilled foreigners on H-1B visas. Here's the Dept's description here. www.dol.gov/newsroom/rel...

Most people who don’t use cannabis don’t understand what is said below.

“Patients don’t want to get high, they just want to get better.”

U.S. laws have made research on how cannabinoids work for different situations impossible. So we are out here self-medicating and 🤞🏻finding what works for us.
Will you look at that? Only 2 naturally occurring cannabinoids have euphoric effects.

That means there are 17 cannabinoids with unique effects that don't get you high. We owe it to patients to study these more than we do.

Patients don't want to get high, they just want to get better 🤙

As someone >60 w/ a medID for cannabis, I have some comments.

1. Most doctors don’t know much about C because US laws made research impossible.
2. When you use C for sleep/pain/etc you are absolutely self-medicating. There is no “prescription”.
3. Budtenders likely know more than your doctor

As U.S. states have legalized cannabis, there has been a significant increase in the number of older adults using it for everything from pain to insomnia.

Here’s what doctors say on when it might help and when it won’t.
