Listen I returned from my vacation rested and reenergized, so work has been great, but also I am very inspired so I just kind of want to stay home and finish these paintings instead of working six days in a row

This was my first time keeping a travel sketchbook in a long time, I’m rusty and not as quick a study as I used to be! But having a field set of watercolors was great and fun and I’m so glad I brought them
It really encouraged me to slow down and enjoy this time with my mom :’)

Oh also!!! Here’s some stuff I’ve made this week, both off and on the clock! Black Forest cake covered in a dark chocolate ganache, cannoli and French silk tarts, and some Russian icing tip practice on a little single layer cake for my case at work :’)

I’m GMing a mini-campaign after our current game wraps so that John can have a break band prep the next one. It’s gonna be some X-files-y Scooby-Dooish silliness, because obviously!! I hope it’ll be fun :’)

Every week before D&D my niece and I draw a monster together before she goes to bed. We missed a few, so I slapped this together to make up for it :)

Here is a handout I made for my kid’s class last week, when I went in to talk to them about making books. I Frankensteined together a bunch of art I already had to make it, and filled other stuff in. But it was a big hit, so I’m sharing it here in case you know any kids interested in making books!
