The funniest thing about running a comic shop is that people just assume you are into everything nerdy. Comics I got you bro, but you start talking to me about trading cards and D&D and i am not gonna have a clue.

This new version of the Twits is really annoying, it’s got some decent laughs and good voice performances but it’s really lost it’s British charm of the original story. Something that I thought Wonka did so right.

I know that everybody knows but Jeremy Allen White is just such a phenomenal acting. Season 4 episode 9 of the bear he shares a scene with Jamie Lee Curtis and it’s an acting masterclass.

Salvation Run and Rucka’s Checkmate are some of DC’s Most underrated books. Very excited with what James Gunn is cooking up.

Re-reading The Fade Out by Ed Brubaker and @seanphillips.bsky.social. I don’t think there is a better team in comics. Re-experiencing this story is a dream. May have to do a full Criminal and Fatale re-read. Or maybe just their entire catalogue.

The intimacy of The Bear must be a way of keeping budgets low so that when they do the big ensemble episodes because the amount of famous people in them must cost an absolute fortune.

Je’Von Evan’s is something special. Can’t wait to see him called up to the main roster.

The gossip of Bendis possibly returning to Marvel is incredibly intriguing, would love to see what he would cook up now after a decent break from the big two. The man used to be a hit maker, will be fun to see what he does now.

DC has absolutely fumbled Peacemaker in cannon comics in the last few years. Kyle Starks and the DCU tie in books were great but just making him Waller’s stooge in the main universe does a character with a lot of potential a massive disservice.
