Hope is not passive. It is the conscious refusal to submit our souls to defeat. It is the spark that emboldens us to seek better and to work toward it. To give up hope is to accept defeat and to invite the worst humanity has to offer to take up residence in our lives.

You don’t know me. I have never voted for Trump or his ilk nor will I ever vote for anyone like him. What I do however is give people the benefit of the doubt, and take the evidence and evaluate it. I don’t make judgments first. Righteous hate does not fix the world

I Like the sign but historically inaccurate. See the Golden Age of America was also a time where the wealthy experience was golden because they held all the gold. Essentially the wheel of time just came around again.

This is Graham Platner's most candidate interview to date.

We talk about why he thinks he can beat Susan Collins, and yes, we talk at length about the tattoo.

Very curious to hear your thoughts: www.youtube.com/watch?v=WK_b...

Online it’s to easy to cast judgment. It’s too black and white. It seem we forget that life is very nuanced, that choices are informed by experience, and understanding. We can’t know what someone else’s has gone through to get where they are. We can imagine, postulate, even ask. But often we don’t.

3/The real root to get to is ending Citizens United, legislate the complete prevention of stock trading by elected officials, legislate the complete permanent ban on being able to become a lobbyist after one's time in elected office, adopt a public campaign finance model, etc.

1/A number of friends I love dearly are in favor of term limits. I understand why. The goal is to reduce corruption in government by preventing people from being career politicians that lose touch with why they ran in the first place.

I said when the shutdown was ended that the threat to SNAP wouldn’t disappear and now here is, the other shoe. You can never compromise with authoritarians. They’ll always take more than you intended to give.
Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins stated in an interview today that the SNAP program is “one of the most corrupt in American history” and that the administration has big plans to “fix” and “crack down” on it—plans which will be announced soon.

In other words, they plan to cut it more.

The cruelty is the point. What people don’t realize is that all of this cruelty is another step toward complete economic collapse. They aren’t destroying democracy their destroying our entire way of life.

The right to fair and equal treatment whether that be economically, legally, or socially and to be seen as a valued member of society. Those seem to be the core values of the majority of Americans from my perspective.

Republicans have been trying to deflect and diminish Trump’s close relationship with Jeffrey Epstein by delaying the release of the Epstein files.

But now they can’t hide.

It’s time for the truth to come to light and for the DOJ to release the files.

When your opponents seek to subvert what you believe and value about how your country functions. You cannot compromise on its defence. There is no normalcy when normal is constant trauma of the American psyche.

Scandal. Epstein Trump. Why are we still surprised at the GOP failing to vet this guy? It was in our face for decades. So much effort and money spent to cover it up. I know you’re rich but thats some significant sunk cost that just doesn’t make sense.

This isn’t the Iowa we deserve. Marie is fighting the fight of her life against cancer & she shouldn’t have to worry about her Social Security or how she’ll afford basic goods.

Under Miller-Meeks too many people are facing that cruel reality. We can and must do better.
