Elementary teacher.
Love teaching about kindness, diversity, science, history, and more.
Love all things books!
Love animals and all of nature on this earth.
This is what we should teach and see around the world. Embracing diversity, celebrating connections, coming together, cheering on uniqueness, supporting each other like family. Love this cute first grade social studies craft that went with the cultural lesson.

If you're feeling hopeless and miserable, I cannot possibly overstate how much it helps to just pick one thing you can do that helps people, and do it.

You only need to do one person's worth of work. That's all any of us can do.

You'll be doing what you can, and there is so much relief in that.

This is the life… reading at home with sunlight shining through the windows on a nice spring day and cuddling with a dog! Go even further and read about dogs! Books and pets are life!

Please share this talk by French politician Claude Malhuret, which I think will go down as one of the more important speeches of this time. We ALL need to listen to this! As a non-French speaker, I found it easier to turn down the volume when reading the subtitles. www.youtube.com/watch?v=unSS...

The joys of teaching first graders also means the pitfalls… catching a cough then Covid then nasal congestion and now the flu, all in Feb. Ugg.

I taught my 1st graders about nonfiction informational books & their characteristics today. Some good learning about features they weren’t familiar with, like the glossary. We love graphic organizers & anchor charts to help the visual learners!

I planned and taught the social studies lesson to my first graders and it went well! We read the book Wants Vs Needs Vs Robots, so cute! Then they each wrote 1 need and 1 want they could think of to share it on an anchor chart. Some great reflections!
