Western Norway is known as rainy, but droughts happen and will be more extreme and frequent due to climate change. @kristabirk.bsky.social shared her results at #EGU25 about a drought experiment in a coastal heathland, and the effects on leaf and flower phenology at different successional stages

Hey #rstats, could you point me to a ressource explaining why it matters for a package to be available on CRAN?
(Both from user and developer perspective)
Many thanks!

Delighted to see my future lab group in Norway has joined Blue Sky!

Give Between the Fjords a follow to hear about all their exciting research in the #carbon, #ecophys, #PlantTrait, #biodiversity space (particularly if you're a fellow #grasslands enthusiast).

We are at #EGU2025!
Interested to learn more about global experimental #warming experiments, the #functioning of dwarf shrubs in our ecosystems, or how we develop tools to help us better analyze gas #flux data in #R?
Here’s an overview of our talks and poster presentations🧵:

In the “Mind your head” session at #EGU25 and there is a sad pattern emerging from the survey 🤨 Taking time off protects you in the long (and short) term more than pushing yourself to the limit 🌞

Forsker på soppens betydning for klimaendringer
Ph.d.-stipendiat Mika Helene Kirkhus utforsker hvordan sopp samarbeider med lyngplanter for å redusere skader fra klimaendringer. Hennes arbeid gir verdifull innsikt i naturens komplekse samspill.

Learning by doing is a great tool. You learn A LOT as a student and you also get to contribute towards real science
