George Will took ten paragraphs but finally said "it is more than prudent to assume that everything ICE says and this administration says in support of its deportation mania is untrue until proven to be otherwise."

Colorado EV report 1/7/2026: The steadily rising number of EVs on the road has slowed to a near halt in the months following the removal of the tax credit. Some evidence of buy-ahead in prior months. Watch for impact of new inexpensive Leaf and Bolt in coming months.

Stayed at three hotels last three days. All had a Cybertruck parked at their hotel chargers. Turns out Tesla is paying to park trucks at hotels as marketing. And using up a charger in the process.

The fed lowered its rate, and 10 year bonds raised their rate. The market believes the fed rate cut will drive inflation. Probably means mortgage rates will go up, just what homebuyers don't need.
