This is devastating news for the community of Lexington, NE where an estimated 3200 hard working people, many of them immigrants from Latin America and Africa, will lose their jobs.

The company did not provide a timeline for the plant to end operations.

As I said on MSNBC, in 1960 white evangelical christians accused JFK that he would put the Pope over our Constitution. Today we have a new Pope who supports our Constitution more than our current President. And the white christians support this anti-constitutional President and attack the Pope.

If you are a "faithful US Catholic" who rejected Francis' papal legitimacy based on climate/immigration/critiques on capitalism and are now rejecting Leo XIV on the same grounds, then just maybe your real problem is not with these two popes but with what it really means to be a Catholic Christian.
