Looking at Google Maps and doing some early mental prep for #JMoF2027. It looks like the Comfort Hotel Chubu International Airport might be a good pick for those without cars. It's the closest to Aichi Sky Expo, and has a covered walkway connection to the Meitetsu Airport Line.

Heading home from #JMoF2026 and stopped at the Numazu service area for some goodies. Many service areas feel like they were designed with the views in mind. Great view of the sea from this one, but not a lot of Fuji in sight.

The one discussion panel I was going to attend at #JMoF2026 - the one about being a greymuzzle - got cancelled due to the presenter not feeling well.
I'm sure there's a joke there to be made, but I'm to tired to think of it myself.

There aren’t any hotels adjacent to the #JMoF2026 con hotel, so the overflow guests tend to end up about 2.5km away, near Toyohashi Station. Those hotels know what’s up, and have signage prepared for their guests.

With the big con prep printing jobs done, I figured it was time to do some stuff just for fun, and for getting better at making prints. What better way than with some Protogen! (And a gryphon, too.)
Clearly, I need to work on making supports, but things came out mostly okay.

The most time-consuming part of con prep for #JMoF2026 is done! 172 con coins printed and assembled (gluing heads and tails together). Not counting design and prototype prints, these took about 80 hours to print and put together. Thankfully, the bulk of that is letting the printer do its thing.

I really am trying to cut down on snacks, but when I go into Donki and see that they've got やニョムチキン flavor Jagarico, how am I supposed to turn that down?

I don't usually buy groceries at Aeon, but when I was there last week, this ice cream packaging caught my eye. Turned out to be really good!

Been doing a bit of fursuit prep for #JMoF2026 and am having a go at making eyelids. They're just 3D printed in black right now, but once I get the size right I'll be putting black felt on them. They're held in place with magnets, so I can go upper, lower, both, or none.

I added an AMS 2 Pro to my 3D printing setup this week. Being able to print in more than 1 color at a time is a huge upgrade!

Two months to go until #JMoF2026! Con and hotel registrations are all set, so the biggest worries are taken care of. Just a bit of tweaking to do to my suit and some 3D prints to work on. Plenty of time to get everything done, but I’m not going to leave things until the last minute.
Can’t wait!

I had the chance to go to Saiboku - www.saiboku.co.jp - yesterday and it was amazing!
It's a "pork theme park" in Saitama, where the focus is on food. We just ate in the restaurant and did some shopping, but it was still well worth the trip.
Can't wait to go again!

The new Bambu Lab P2S 3D printer looks pretty amazing, but for now it's only being sold as a combo in Japan. I have more of a need for multicolor printing than I do for the larger build volume, so I'm going to wait for the A1 Mini update and see what the Black Friday price is for the AMS 2 Pro.
