U.S. defense officials are saying 1,500 active-duty soldiers are on standby in Alaska for possible deployment to Minneapolis. That’s on top of the 3,000+ ICE agents already in the area.

We don’t really believe this is about undocumented immigrant crime in Minneapolis, do we?

14 US states have abortion bans, leading to a rise in maternal and infant mortality. Global experience shows that criminalizing abortion doesn't increase birth rates - it risks women’s health and lives, making it harder to obtain legal medical care and forcing them into clandestine abortions.
Anti-life: How U.S. abortion bans actually affect mothers and babies
In early December 2025, a law came into force in Texas banning the sale of medication abortion drugs to residents. Since the summer of 2022, when the U.S. Supreme Court allowed states to set their own...

The first thing Virginia Spanberger did after being sworn in as Governor of Virginia was repeal Youngkin’s executive order requiring state and local law enforcement to cooperate with ICE.

This is the kind of leadership Democratic governors nationwide should be emulating.

Just days after tear gassing a six month old baby and putting him in the hospital, ICE agents abandoned a six year old child in the streets of New Jersey.

They kidnapped her father and left her wandering the neighborhood asking “Where’s Papi?”

This is beyond cruel.

It’s child abuse.

They placed her and her five year old daughter in a hotel and told them not to contact anyone.

ICE didn’t want the community fighting for them.

Congress needs to step in and rein in Trump's power to impose tariffs. Using tariffs as a way to punish countries for their opposition Trump's policies, in this case the US takeover of Greenland, should be illegal.
