Just an everyday extraordinary ordinary person. Hearts season ticket holder. Currently living in Essex but shortly retiring early and returning to Scotland. #FTT #8647 and an avowed opponent of anything and anyone remotely right wing.
So Craig Gordon wins an award for best ever save in the EPL when at Sunderland.

I think he's just won the same thing with Hearts in the SPFL Premiership.

There's no way Craig Gordon saved that. It has to be AI or copious amounts of drugs for me to see what I saw.

Wow.

What a save. Craig Gordon, that might just be the making of the Hearts season.

What is it about EPL supporters, and having stand-up arguments with players responding to their abuse, seemingly each time their side has the temerity to lose a single game now? This is bigot brothers levels of entitlement.

Pleased to have got my tickets for @jonathanpienews.bsky.social at Hammersmith Apollo at the back end of October. Extra kudos, too, for sticking to his word, and still not going to the Cliffs Pavilion in Westcliff‐on-Sea, after their lack of respect to JoJo Sutherland's set.

I imagine the Partick Thistle manager's team talk was "Keep it tight for the first 18 seconds, lads."

No sleep last night…

Can’t get that video out of my head

Can believe the lies being told to betray her even in death

Can’t believe the mindless lemmings that swallow them up

America is lost.

NOW: Crowd continues to grow in Minneapolis at a vigil where a federal agent shot and killed Renee Good this morning.

“SAY HER NAME!”

How's today going?

Celtic go for continuity, appointing someone vastly experienced in fucking everything up completely in less than 5 weeks.

Just when Liverpool thought they'd stolen the winner. Wow.

Nice to see Hamilton Academical taken over by the owners of Ohio Valley Wrestling. Having OVW as shirt sponsors would be a big seller in a niche market.

This is getting beyond silly now.

One of those matches where we had to "guts" it out. Another one we would've lost last season that we've now picked up the three points.

Getting close to the 22 games McInnes said we need to get to before looking at where we are. I wonder what he really thinks now? I'm still not believing but ...

Happy 2026 everyone. And thank f*** 2025 is over.

Bringing the bells in properly. 2 cans of Tennents and a can of Irn Bru are right beside me. Admittedly there's 20 more cans of Tennents in the fridge but don't want to go overboard before the bells.

That 0-0 draw for Hearts away at Motherwell last month looking a lot better than it did at the time.

3 points clear after Celtic's game in hand looking infinitely better than 3 points clear before their game in hand, too.

Might actually watch Sportscene tonight

The (Coelliac) Empire Strikes Back. 😬

Thank goodness I'm working from home today and two yards from the nearest bathroom.

One thing I've finally realised today. I'm getting too old for going to the match if it's over a mile to walk to and in close to Baltic weather under minimal cover.

Realised I say, however, and not learned. Though at least next week, the Maroon Mile is mostly downhill to Tynecastle.

I'm not sure any players from either team particularly wanted to take up the manager on that offer.

Had my son over. He always buys me this, purely down to Alan Partidge!

Football tomorrow. Local instead of local EPL team. Costs in total:

Travel - £12
Tickets - £14
Hot drinks - £8
Hot food - £7

Total for 2 of us - £41.

1 ticket for a local EPL match - £75.

Same world, different planet.

After yesterday's untimely body response to my Christmas meal, I tried to be gentle today with some plum tomatoes a little while ago. The exit poll suggests it's too early. 😬

There has to be an inquiry into the VAR officiating at Egypt v South Africa. It's not incompetence at play here. It's absolute dishonesty. South Africa ought to have had the opportunity to win the game there, let alone draw.

I'm surprised that I put on an NFL game.

Even more surprised that Seth Rollins is one of the reporters.

No surprise at all, though, that he's dressed like one of The Osmonds.
