My grandma passed away two weeks ago. Her health had been declining over the past two months and I had wanted to see her but I wasn't able to go back to Canada during the academic semester so I didn't get to say goodbye properly. Love working abroad overall but times like this are so heartbreaking.

When I retire I want to open a more historically informed version of Medieval Times for England in which knights have the Virgin painted on the inside of their shields and wealthy guests are expected to bring books of hours and there is an anchorite living in the entryway
