The $87 billion climate cost has always been, very clearly so, a long-term cost to the economy and not a direct City of Calgary cost to taxpayers—in fact many stories, and admin have pointed this out.

But some candidates keep using this number to campaign on.

At tonight’s “consultation”…

When a high school kid tried to raise concerns about the teachers strike, Bruce McAllister cut the kids mic and then suggested his parents should have beaten him more.

Listen to the clip yourself…

Do any journalists want to FOIP how much the provincial government’s current media campaign is costing? I keep seeing/hearing the ads about how many teachers they are adding.
A teachers' strike is much closer to reality in Alberta, as ATA membership rejected the province's latest proposal with 89.5% against with a week to go until strike day.

Learned via my kid’s school’s parent council that the school can’t afford paper or markers currently so they’re asking kids to bring their own. And our provincial government is spending an inordinate amount of time to ban a few graphic novels.

Harrison Clark is my choice for Ward 9 Councillor in this fall’s #yyccc election. He’s positive, compassionate, a connector and a great listener. He doesn’t slag other candidates.
I know what he stands for: it’s a fair share of investment in Ward 9 #yyc #Calgary

Any #yyccc council who goes on and on about what policies they will implement or repeal is either lying or doesn’t realize that they only have one vote.

Building consensus for strong policies and ideas is the only way to get things done at Calgary city council.
