Mala Zimetbaum was a Jewish woman born in Brzesko in Poland, on 26 January 1918. In 1944, Zimetbaum staged a daring escape from Auschwitz.

She was later caught, tortured and hanged.

Cantatrice and operetta actress, Liesel Frankel was born #OTD 1911. Sent to Westerbork, she participated in the Gruppe Bühne then in Sep 1944 she was deported to Theresienstadt. Transported to Auschwitz in Oct, she died on a Nazi death march.

The Bayeux Tapestry, a 70 meter long medieval masterpiece created by artisan women, is actually an embroidery in crewel (wool yarn) on a linen ground. Depicting the Norman conquest of England, it was made in the 11th century & will be displayed at the British Museum this year. #WomensArt

The Ukrainian "Shchedryk" (Carol of the Bells) performed by a Swedish choir.

​The choir’s director, its pianist, and several young singers are Ukrainian. The rest of the members are foreigners who learned our legendary "Shchedryk" in its original Ukrainian for this special performance.

Whilst not surprising it’s interesting to read how they went about trying to ensure an unbiased approach to the investigative process … would it have also been useful to compare with here for example 🤔 or is this just the double blind trial bias of a pharmacist speaking
