Reading reminds us that books matter. Yes, books. Written by actual humans. Right here on Earth. As I think back on 2025, there are five books that stand out—books that didn’t just delight or inform me, but books that grew me intellectually, spiritually, artistically, and then some. Link below!

If you are a candidate for office, please commit this to memory: Clean energy is the cheapest energy on the planet. Clean energy fuels affordability and jobs.

(Dirty, expensive energy knows that. They’re hellbent on blocking progress because they know they’ll lose on an even playing field.)

Where exactly *does* a book come from? In the case of Climate Wayfinding, a rather winding journey. I spill the tea in my latest newsletter. open.substack.com/pub/drkwilki...

Some book news! Climate Wayfinding is becoming a thing with pages 📖✨ May 5, 2026. In many ways, this is the book I've needed at many crossroads in my own climate journey—a holistic, soulful, proven approach to making sense of & finding our way in a world where maps, increasingly, no longer work.

Spring has fully sprung in Atlanta, which is pollen-y and beautiful.
Life working its magic.

Makes me ache anew that so much humanness is out of step with it. And remember anew how possible it is to renew and blossom 🌸

It’s terrifying to be in Elon Musk’s crosshairs. I’ve spent the last 48 hours dealing with the aftermath of these tweets. Everything he has said about me and Troublemakers is an outright lie.

The right to protest is at the heart of American democracy. Join a #TeslaTakedown protest. ✊❤️
Musk doesn't get how nonviolent protest works. Why are we Troublemakers? Because as Rep. John Lewis, RIP, knew: in hard times, good trouble is ESSENTIAL to all that we love.

When the world is at risk, when democracy is at risk, we're either troublemakers—or collaborators.

So: who's a Troublemaker?

All I want for Christmas…is industrial decarbonization 🤷🏻‍♀️🎄

What do we do about steel, cement, and all the rest? @leahstokes.bsky.social and I break it down in a new episode of A Matter of Degrees.

Cleaning Up Industry — A Matter of Degrees
The industrial sector makes all of our physical stuff – the clothes we wear, the cars we drive, the buildings we live in, and much more. It’s also one of the biggest sources of U.S. climate pollution.
