Recently, with the weakening of the NZ govt's #biogenicmethane targets, KiC submitted an open letter to the PM, to advocate for govt support and respect for cross-parliamentary approach to New Zealand's legislated 2050 climate change targets. Read the letter here:

Our first big Auckland event went off with a sparkle last night. 'An electric kōrero' brought together a passionate and diverse expert panel to create a truly collective and interactive discussion, exploring the role of electrification and clean energy in Aotearoa’s climate future.

The @netzerotracker.bsky.social now shows a drop from 93% to 78% thanks to Mr Trump's executive orders revoking mention of a federal-level #netzero target.

Account for US states and that 78% becomes 84%. In total, 66% of the US economy *still* has deep reduction targets.
