Something department stores sorely lack: designated corner or at least a rack for mourning clothes. Funeral-appropriate, modest attire, comfortable shoes, black shawls and ties. And in reasonable prices.

Her whole life my grandmother didn't want to be a bother to anyone. So of course she'd die on a spring Monday morning, with nice weather forecast for the burial, and a slow day for doctors and funeral homes.
