@richarddeitsch.bsky.social Honest question. What year was it that tv people, especially sports but not limited to sports, no longer needed a decent voice to be on air, radio, tv, podcast? When I find one it is like a diamond in the rough. It is so rare. I watch/listen to so much less now.

Everything needs to be sports, music, mystery or light movies/shows too. You realize how toxic all that is but you also 1/2

@richarddeitsch.bsky.social One of the biggest issues w/sports media is not understanding that the players are the talent. I like good pxp/analysts which vary widely, but in their role during the game. Not before, after, or elsewhere. The job is to enhance the paint of the picture.

@richarddeitsch.bsky.social I am hoping sports media will write/cover that tennis fans have to pay a crazy $17 for Max in order to watch the French Open. We already lay for TC Plus and ESPN Plus. Even Peacock was half of that cost. Zero free trials. I will never watch Max again Zero coverage on 1/2

@richarddeitsch.bsky.social You cover this stuff. Tennis is forcing long time TC Plus $$$ and ESPN Plus subscribers to get $17 a month bad layout Max for the French Open. Crazy high price. Layout should be by court name, number, live, upcoming, replay. Instead tennis doesn’t even have its own page.

@richarddeitsch.bsky.social Are you aware that ESPN Networks still broadcasts almost all of their college Olympic sports games remotely in 2025? Baseball, softball, soccer, you name it. All of them. All the time. I wish more media would be more aggressive saying how insulting it is to the viewer.

@bsky.app Please try to capitalize on the recent Twitter Private likes. I much prefer to simply go here but most accounts I like and follow aren't here. Public likes allow shortcuts to mutual interest discussion w ppl that don't care abiut follower counts. Private likes ended my Twitter experience.
