Oof, that's tough topic, lots of rabbit holes to explore. I bet it will be really interesting and a great exercise in critical thinking.

Might have her watch Chernobyl, it was excellent. Maybe get a local angle on the issue and research the issues Plant Vogtle has faced getting up and running.

I'm always amused at the trope of people tapping out Morse code to surreptitiously communicate. Seriously, how many people actually know Morse code? I can't even get people to use the NATO alphabet to spell words and I'm supposed to believe they memorized dot and dash patterns for letters?

Fun fact: The East Wing is where the visitor's entrance to the White House is.

He's literally tearing down the public access to the White House to build an altar at which they will worship wealth and opulence we'll never see. I can't think of a more apt metaphor for what's happening here.

Short answer: Because the US is an autocracy.

Longer answer: We DID, and convicted him. But in his last term Trump hand-picked three Supreme Court justices who declared he is immune from criminal acts, and prosecutorial agencies that used to be independent aren't now.

Thus... Autocracy.

When I worked at Coke, they did a huge marketing campaign with her and others for the jingle and video. I thought it was catchy as hell.

It uses the same key/chord progression of Ceelo Green's (also part of the project) "F*** You," which I think is hilariously ironic. Did he do that deliberately? 🤔

Ideological purity is the height of privilege and a cop-out. It's someone saying, "I'm not affected by an administration that's hostile to others' interests, so why should I care?"

Or worse, "My ideological purity is more important than your life."

I've followed your campaign with mild interest (my district is GA's 4th), but you just earned a donation from me.

Thanks for not backing down to what he thought was a "gotcha" moment. 😖

How have we lost our way so badly that someone would argue this on CNN? Good luck, I'll keep watching.

I bought a Model 3 in 2018 and at the time I was really hopeful that FSD would make the car safer and more convenient to drive. After seeing stories like this there's no chance in hell I'll use it. Tesla marketing this dangerous feature is unconscionable, and I won't be buying another.

Your feel-good story of the day. The moment they discover their connection through this cat is just too cute.
So in a crazy coincidence, my congressional campaign actually reunited my rescue cat, Heater, with her foster mom.

And the footage is just too cute not to share. 🧡🤍

The fact that they didn't escape the backslash in a sentence specifically about the need to escape backslashes is a meta level of irony. (From BeyondTrust's Password Safe API documentation.)

PhD student Rumeysa Ozturk was disappeared earlier this week from Somerville, Massachusetts for criticizing the war in Gaza. It's already happening.

My sister: "Hey, guess what I got!"

Me: "A souvenir keychain in the shape of the state of Tennessee with your name on it?"

Sister: 🤨 "No. Why would you guess something so weird like that?"

Me: "Because as unlikely as that is, if I had been right it would have been the most epic guess in history."

Wow, I was coming in my house as my mail carrier arrived. I waved told her hi, and she went literally POSTAL.

And by that, I mean she dropped off my mail and continued on her way.

I just had a weird thought. Before someone invented mirrors, there were probably entire generations of people, entire lines of families dating back to the dawn of humankind, who had no clear idea what they themselves looked like.

Um... No thanks! I've got a lot of stuff to do and the place is a mess. Y'all go away!
