​Since 1995 Kingfishers Bridge Nature Reserve has transformed 250 acres of farmland into a variety of wetland habitats. It is now a vital sanctuary for numerous endangered species of the Cambridgeshire Fens.

More interesting fungi today - this time at the lovely @kingfishersbridge.bsky.social nature reserve. Think this is called conical brittlestem. Hundreds of birds on the reserve too and the hot chocolate looked amazing! It's always worth a visit - different habitats in one place.

🥰🐴🐃🪮At this time of year our grazers collect burdock seeds in their manes and tails before grooming them out. All part of the natural wildlife cycle and nothing to worry about!

🚘 Do you visit us from Waterbeach or further south, and come up the A10 to Stretham to reach us?

📅 On 6-7, 13-14 and 20-21 September you'll need to come via Wicken instead.
