We are the generation who can help usher in a historic era of love, equity, peace, art, and creativity. Never has there been a time when a movement has been as diverse - race, class, culture, age - as the one we can create today if we stand together for one another.

We can resist evil. Love wins.

This is the shit that Black men deal with on the daily.
They defend themselves, they are deemed the attacker.
They call out racism they are called the racist.
@talibkweli.bsky.social is not just a celebrity but he is a fierce activist that has always defended marginalized communities. Period.

Movements are not built on ideologies - liberal or conservative. They are built on people’s innate capacity to demonstrate a kind of compassion for each other unlike any other being. And only when a movement is motivated by the pursuit of everyone’s human rights will it successfully topple empire.

The republicans crying “Civil War!“ are fear-mongering. There has been a civil war in America since DoD. But it has always been between the corrupt government and the citizens it’s supposed to serve. Don’t let racism trick you into thinking BIPOC want to fight you. We don’t. We just want to live.

We have the power to shape American society. It is only when the American people stand up for justice, that America becomes a just country.

We have the power to define American values. Once we realize that power, we have the potential to usher in an era of peace never seen in modern history.

At the same time that ICE continues their terror campaign, the American people continue to step up to protect their communities, even in the cold.

People can play “pick-a-verse-any-verse,” all they want. The Bible will still prove to be pro-immigration, anti-genocide every time. Christianity is incompatible with white supremacy; if you believe you deserve more than immigrants, then you believe in white supremacy, not Christianity.

the one thing that might end a Yoon moment in America is the fact that it would likely end the consumerist privileges most Americans value above life itself (see COVID response)
people genuinely don't realize how awful civil conflict is

There is no interpretation of this chart that makes this okay. Nor is it viable. We will experience something far more dangerous than an economic collapse if more people’s basic human rights continue to be taken away.
Gen Z is spending more on essentials than previous generations, yet their wages aren't keeping up.

It's no wonder they aren't "spending like retailers need them to."

When 70% of the economy depends on consumer spending, people need money to spend. It's as simple as that.

Whether you deserve basic human rights should not be tied to your ability to work. Labor for corporations and profit are not bigger priorities than feeding and sheltering human beings._

someone once told me I wasn't an immigrant...after I had just explained to them I was born in Korea, and am in fact, an immigrant.

not everyone hispanic is an immigrant, and not every immigrant is a hispanic. stop treating hispanic folks like a monolith, and stop treating immigrants as others

young people stop showing up when what they hope for no longer feels possible. so, when they do show up, and show up for one another, it means there is hope. if we listen, maybe we can actually achieve what young people across generations have always wanted.
