"It has been ten years since the Supreme Court admitted that the law on joint enterprise had ‘taken a wrong turn."

As we mark ten years since the Jogee ruling, I’ve written in @justicegap.bsky.social about why justice cannot wait another ten years 👇

The Cabinet Office is “assembling the facts” about the actions of its own Minister - how on earth is that independent?

This is unacceptable. We need a fully independent investigation, not a process they run and control themselves.

The decision to proscribe PA under terrorism law has been ruled unlawful by the High Court today.

I was proud to vote against the proscription of PA. Our right to protest is under sustained attack & it must be protected. The government must not appeal.

I was honoured to open @rmtunion.bsky.social's Health and Safety Conference in Liverpool this morning.

Violence is not – and should never be – "part of the job."

I am committed to ending the outsourcing racket that’s undermining safety, equality and the future of our railways.

It’s #HeartUnions Week 2026!

Being in a union gave me a voice at work – now I use mine in Parliament to fight for workers' rights.

I’m proud to have voted for the Employment Rights Act, the biggest upgrade in employment rights in a generation ❤️🌹

Lovely visit to M&S L1 last week to catch up with store manager Margaret & hear about how the amazing team is getting on.

It was also a pleasure to meet Jean, who recently celebrated 40 years at M&S!

Such a warm, welcoming team at M&S L1 - it really does feel like a family.

Powerful APPG on Miscarriages of Justice event hearing from Oliver Campbell, Peter Sullivan & Justin Plummer – three wrongly convicted men who spent a total of 77 years in prison.

Their stories show a system failing people twice: convicting the innocent & abandoning them after release.

Looking forward to chairing this really important event in Parliament this evening.

Sunlight is the best disinfectant - and what’s been exposed shows McSweeney’s operation is rotten to the core.

@thecriminalbar.bsky.social is clear: “there is no evidence that this major constitutional reform would solve the crisis.”

Historic night in Parliament. We voted to scrap the cruel two-child limit - a policy that drove child poverty to record highs.

By ending it, nearly 500,000 children will be lifted out of poverty, including over 4000 in Liverpool Riverside. A huge first step, but not the last.

Mandelson’s sleazy networks of influence, elite access & unanswered questions are exactly why #Leveson2 was called for in the first place.

Scrapping it protected power, not the public.
