Senior Software Engineer. Aspiring game dev at night.

Private Forgejo server up and running.

Rather proud that security skills from my first job are still valid more than two decades later. 😅 ChatGPT was “so, first you lock yourself out, then open ports…” Uh huh. I don’t think so.

Sneaking into hard to get places to take photos is my favorite part of Cyberpunk 2077.

RLM’s spotlight on Axe ‘Em is a riot! 😅

The cool thing about Rust is seeing type-strict implementations and then wondering: “Is that really necessary?”

Then you actually write Rust, and yes, that’s necessary because types just saved me debugging time. 🦀

Godot 4.5 added accessibility support through AccessKit. That’s written in Rust! 😲

Screen readers are supported now!

I’m glad that both Linux and macOS are getting more gaming traction. Fun shouldn’t stop at the OS! 🤖

I was trying to setup static site generation like Astro but with Leptos. Turns out I already succeeded an hour ago, but I got confused because it was too easy. 😅

Props to @gbj.dev for answering folks on GitHub issues directly. His comments actually helped me to understand how stuff works. 🚀

Fired up Cyberpunk 2077 on my Mac for the first time. The native port is working really well! 🦾

Checked out Graphite. Looks like a really solid vector graphics app. Oh, yeah, also written in Rust. 🤩

As part of my migration to Proton I’m also turning off all my email subscriptions. It’s noise reduction and surprisingly effective.

Not sure if touch screen optimizations are new in Godot 4.5 or if they were there forever. They are awesome on a pen display! 🚀

Came across this interview with Alanah Pearce by Katee Sackhoff and it’s really informative. Especially if you’re into creative writing.

Syncing Joplin across multiple devices via S3 is pretty neat. Fully encrypted too. And Markdown notes are so tiny that this entire thing is essentially free.

Unlucky that Asahi Linux doesn’t support my Huion pen display. Huion has Linux drivers, but they’re for x86. Not arm. 😕

Fedora Asahi Remix is already cool, because it lists Godot as dev tool.

Nice way of reposing an old Mac laptop, but Linux is still for terminal folks. It didn’t let me power off, so I had to ‘shutdown’ manually

Still pretty awesome though.

Old M1 MacBook is running Fedora Asahi Remix now. 🚀

I was scouting a bit for Linux laptops and found some tariff numbers that Colorado based System76 shared in a news article. Looks like their necessary markup is higher than customs + shipping that I have to pay when ordering from Europe.

I think that’s wild!

The Neovim/LazyVim color scheme Voyager has WezTerm support now too! Of course, WCAG AAA compliant. 🥳

My WCAG compliant color scheme Voyager might actually be coming to WezTerm. ChatGPT was great for bootstrapping the initial skeleton and the remaining work is not that bad.

Now I have to find a bunch of terminal commands that produce color output though… besides htop. 🙄
October 22, 2025 at 11:34 AM
Holy moly! Someone actually opened an issue on my accessible color scheme for Neovim!

WezTerm theme might be happening once I’ve get some time… 😅

Finished Stray. Really lovely story and I actually appreciate that it only takes 6h to wrap up.

Reading the WebDAV and S3 API specs side by side makes it quite clear why S3 is so prevalent now. XML is hideous.

Kinda sad, but the move away from American services can go ahead.

✅ Proton (Swiss)
✅ Joplin (FOSS)
✅ OVH S3 (French)

Fun fact: OVH actually has multiple Canadian data centers. And they give you C$270 to try their stuff. Génial!
