For now, all NIH communications need to be reviewed by a presidential apointee before they are issued. That already has stopped a scientific conference to deal with cancer research.

We can use the example of President Carter to show our children, incredulous as they will be, that the presidency was once occupied by men of integrity and honor that placed principle ahead of political calculations.
