It is called Neoliberalism. It is promoted and supported by corrupt oligarchs. They own media conglomerates and whith that they manipulate the general opinion. You know who they are. They lined up to donate for an inaugural of the guy who will sway things their way.

That is exactly what the corrupt Neoliberal system says. Helping the poor is "populism", while rescuing the rich is "helping the economy". Take a look at what has happened in México since 2018 and how how Mexico's economy is currently among the most powerful (the 12th economy) in the world.

I always had my doubts about the information on Facebook and Instagram. Now I know for sure it is not reliable at all and most likely it is just lies and misinformation. And just like X, I canceled Facebook and Instagram... and I have so much time for everything else... like real friends and family.

I fully agree with your recommendation; however, we need to realize that not much is going to be accomplished seating in front of a movie screen, or in front of our cellphones for that matter. At one point, feet need to march, voices need to be raised, action need to be taken... by all of us.

Perhaps the threat of loosing our country will finally be the catalist for a third party, and more than a party, a movement, not just to be the third option countering the two rusted, decaying, and out-of-touch parties, but to be the only one that can bring the real transformation the U.S. needs.

That is oligarchy and neoliberalism for you. Textbook example.
