Watching “The State Within” for the millionth time. One of the things that keeps getting to me about this show is that Jason Isaacs does such flawless accent code switching. Mark talking to his people is one accent, Sir Mark talking to the public or a political contact is another. Subtle. Simple.

As a librarian, I can relate.
Hopefully not any kind of controversial take, but I have recently DNF'd (or barely trudged through) three trad-pubbed books that felt like a half-dozen tropes in a dust jacket, and as an author it is making me very frustrated with the state of publishing right now.
